Color Vnc Depth at Color

Color Vnc Depth. If using the vic client and the open console then no i know of no way to adjust color depth settings (this was sort of my original point which i think still is what you are asking). Please change the display setting to best quality in vncviewer to restore the color highlighting.

Color depth is otherwise dictated by the vnc server. Usually 16 is the default. Is there a hidden settings file or anything for the vnc server that's at the core of screen sharing? This becomes a larger issue when connecting to my x11vnc server (version 0.9.13) which is unhappy with the default 15bpp depth:
